Oral Roberts is an educator, evangelist, businessman, author, and television personality. The University, ORU, was chartered in 1963 and accepted its first students 2 years later. The campus now has 22 major buildings and 5,300 students enrolled in 66 undergraduate concentrations and 16 graduate level programs in business, education, and theology. Music and ministries are also extremely important.
ORU Students with a Mission. The University’s Missions Department was established in 1976, and since then, more than 4,000 students have been involved. ORU missions teams have traveled across North America as well as to various countries around the world.
